With Revel Online, Students Can Earn a Master鈥檚 Degree From Anywhere

From Panama to Paramus, from the Five Towns to the Four Corners, 黑料社 All鈥檚 Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies has made getting an MA in Jewish Philosophy accessible with Revel Online. This distance learning platform will allow remote students to earn this valuable degree and learn from the school鈥檚 renowned faculty. Beginning in the Fall 2019 semester, this exciting new option allows students to fully participate in the classroom in real time using an audio-video configuration on their computers to actually see the classroom and participate through their web cameras. 鈥淎ll they need is a computer, a microphone, and a camera. Other than that, it鈥檚 the same as any other class participant,鈥 said Dr. Daniel Rynhold, professor of Jewish philosophy. Rynhold will be teaching two of the philosophy courses offering the remote option this fall. The goal of the program is to make Revel degree programs accessible to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity. 鈥淚n part it was simply motivated by the requests we receive on a fairly regular basis regarding whether we have a distance learning option,鈥 explained Dr. Rynhold, adding that "in what is currently a fast-changing global academic environment, it's important to explore new options for delivering our courses." Rabbi Tzvi Sinensky, who has already utilized this technology as he pursues a Revel degree, noted that students get the interactive classroom experience and can take advantage of 鈥渢he many different modalities [of the platform] to be part of the classroom community.鈥 To learn more, visit www.yu.edu/revel/revelonline.
