The Straus Center celebrated the launch of 鈥淛ewish Roots of American Liberty: The Impact of Hebraic Ideas on the American鈥� story with Ruth Wisse, Ari Lamm, Ilana Kurshan and Elliot Kaufman.

Ashish Yakub Beary, a student in Katz College鈥檚 M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization, uses artificial intelligence in a practical, human-centered way. His program lets people ask questions in plain English and get clear answers drawn directly from official school documents.

Through an internship with the American Red Cross, Avraham Frohlich (YC 鈥�25), a recent Yeshiva College Honors graduate and English major, explored international humanitarian law, cross-cultural cooperation, and the protection of journalists in conflict zones. His summer included research in New鈥�

Straus Scholar Elisha Price (YC 鈥�28) spent the Fall 2025 semester as a research assistant to Dr. Tevi Troy, gaining hands-on experience in historical research, political analysis and the production of scholarly and public-facing writing.

A study by researchers in the Katz College鈥檚 Department of Graduate Computer Science and Engineering discusses medical image segmentation, which teaches a computer to look at a medical image, such as a colonoscopy image or an MRI scan, and clearly outline areas of interest.
