(Central) has been awarded accreditation by the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). 鈥淭he recognition is a true mark of distinction, for which I am most proud and grateful!鈥 said Mrs. CB Neugroschl, head of school.
Especially impressive is that the school received this accreditation after only two years in what is usually a five-year process. Central is also the only all-girls yeshiva high school in the Queens/Long Island area with this prestigious accreditation and one of two in the tri-state area.
Neugroschl added that 鈥渨hile the recognition is important and is a true milestone for Central, we are honored to be part of a community of learners engaged in reflection and are always examining and improving what we do to deliver the best Yeshiva educational experience for our students.鈥
NYSAIS accreditation represents the culmination of an in-depth review, which includes an examination of all aspects of the school community, including mission, culture, governance, educational program, faculty, student and student services, finance and school operations, among others.
Ms. Bracha Rutner, assistant principal, is equally proud. 鈥淭he impact of the accreditation process is one that has had a lasting impact on our faculty, as we were challenged to gain a deeper understanding of how our school works. In this way, we have improved the learning experience for our students.鈥
Not only is this accreditation considered highly prestigious within the educational community, it indicates Central鈥檚 reaching a higher standard and opens up a network of professional development, available resources and connections to other forward-thinking schools that students and parents are sure to appreciate.
NYSAIS is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools鈥 (NAIS) Commission on Accreditation, which includes nineteen regional and state accrediting agencies. As a member of the NAIS Commission on Accreditation, the prestigious NYSAIS accreditation process is recognized across the United States and throughout the world.
