Panelists Offer Insight into Jobs in the Creative Arts at Career Center Event
Since he was a child, Yosef Herzog always dreamt of a career in television. After graduating from with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in finance and gaining work experience in the field, he decided to change course.
Panelists Yosef Herzog, Nicole de Fusco, Evelyn Zilberman and Kim Puletz offer advice to students at the "Careers in the Creative Arts" event.
Herzog, now a stage manager for NBC鈥檚 鈥淭ODAY鈥 show, spoke to 黑料社 All students at a panel discussion on 鈥淐areers in the Creative Arts鈥 on the Israel Henry Beren Campus on April 29. Fellow panelist included Kim Puletz, manager of digital business operations at Sony Music Entertainment; Evelyn Zilberman, vice president at Columbia Artists Theatricals; and Nicole de Fusco, vice president of original programming and development at the Sundance Channel. The event was organized by the and Ruthie Heller, co-president of the YU Communications Club.
Each panelist stressed the importance of establishing and maintaining relationships throughout the discussion. When asked what led her to her current position, de Fusco said, 鈥淎n internship is how I got started. TV is all about relationships and people that you know. Work connections hard, stay with connections and get another internship.鈥
