Professor Pamela Samuelson of Berkeley Law Headlines Distinguished Lecture in IP

Audience in Moot Court Room Professor Pamela Samuelson was the keynote speaker at Cardozo鈥檚 Distinguished Lecture in IP, sponsored by the Intellectual Property and Information Law program. Samuelson, the Richard M. Sherman Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of California at Berkeley and a Co-Director of the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology, discussed 鈥淭he Enigma of Digitized Property鈥 posed by John Perry Barlow.

Professor Jessica Roth Discusses Impeachment Inquiry on MSNBC

Portrait of Jessica Roth Professor Jessica Roth spoke on MSNBC about the impeachment process, saying, 鈥淚f [Giuliani] is pursuing the President鈥檚 personal interests, then he is not pursuing the country鈥檚 interests, and that鈥檚 where the President is in trouble. The impeachment inquiry is going to be about whether he abused his power by pursuing his narrow, personal interests rather than the interests of the United States of America.鈥

Professor Ekow Yankah Talks NCAA Rules on WFAE

Ekow Yankah Professor Ekow Yankah discussed his views on whether NCAA athletes should be paid on WFAE鈥檚 鈥淐harlotte Talks.鈥 He said, 鈥淚 think the system is broken, and what鈥檚 the best way to fix it? If we want to fix the system, we don鈥檛 do it by collapsing the things that are valuable about college education...we should find ways to make sure that the degrees these students get are worthwhile.鈥

Heyman Center Hosts "Antitrust in the Modern Economy"

Antitrust panelists at table The Samuel & Ronnie Heyman Center on Corporate Governance hosted 鈥淎ntitrust in the Modern Economy,鈥 including a panel of attorneys and Cardozo Professor Sam Weinstein, as the moderator. The panel discussed a variety of timely topics, including whether antitrust law is the right tool to handle the widely covered issue of 鈥渂igness,鈥 particularly with respect to large technology companies.
